Our new MMO

So i was thinking of getting a game we all liked so we can play together..
Though RO and WoW pretty much ruined my desires for any community so the first idea was to get a game like Diablo,
where we can all log in and be by ourself..

Then the simplicity struck me, we could just make a MMO closed server that you can access by invite only.
Thus keeping our community/group tight and friendly =/

Problem is that we need a game to make a server of ^^'
So please post some suggestions we can look into =)

I looked into a few myself and discoverd there are to many to decide on my own...

PS. Please dont suggest RO or WoW for obvious reasons =P

Ok so um, how about you list some of the ones you found, or the website that lists the ones you found, and we'll ponder over it for a while.

Oh and we should totally like learn some Dungeons and Dragons and play online campaigns with gametable or something.

Well currently the big decision to make is wether we join a MMO,
or make our own server, because not all MMO`s can have their own private server..

i like the looks of RF Online and Priston Tale =P

So yea, not quite sure on what to do..
Theres even private Gunbound and Runescape servers now =/

Basicly all i want is something to do =P

For serious though, lets wait till SWG servers come up and hit that up. That game was hawter than that pic you sent me the other day of your mom. You know, that pic *wink wink nudge nudge knowwhatimean?*

So, my vote goes for SWG. Cause it was my first mmo love. But then it jilted me, and so i went to the loving embrace of RO, and have stayed there more or less since.

i checked up on it and there seem to be some servers already =/

google SWGEMU and you will see the progress..

its propably gonna take way too long though O.o

Sadly the only thing so far that i know is posible is WoW and RO and propably Gunbound xD

EDIT: Ok im dropping priston tale all together as i find RO even more interesting then that =/

Ok i have done some thinking and i came to a conclusion about RO..

The main reason i dont like it anymore is the crappy community and simple lack of friends that will explain me things i dont understand yet..

So i have decided to note down so Pro`s and Con`s of our new MMO being RO..

Pro`s

We know the game.
We can set it up in a single day.
It uses little resources so if the community stays small it should be lag free.
We can customize it almost completly except graphicly.

Con`s

Some of us have been playing it a LONG time.
Its not the prettyest game.
Low community means bad economy. (bots maybe?)

This is what i came up with while watchin a movie so i might have missed some..

Anyone want to add something?

Star Wars Galaxies

Pros:
Star Wars universe Very Happy

Very customizable characters and crafting.
PvP and RvR built in.

Cons:
Star wars universe Very Happy

Maybe too much customization for newbies.
Grinding crafting is boring, especially if there isnt a large community to get resources.

Doubt if anyone of us knows how to set up a server like that and manage it.
I havnt found any good server files to begin with.

Sorry i think SWG is pretty much not an option without the server files xD

hmmm, maybe Lineage2? or Guild wars? Diablo is awesome fun.. but i would only play diable 3..

maybe make your own RO server but have the people from here play. invite only could work as well.
then we wont have duds coming in and ruining the fun.

*halftopic* i joined a RO server and this new guy joined the server today and his first post on the fourm was in the introduction section. this is what he said: "gutz. when u see mah name u better start runnin, or u'll be dead on the ground and cussin. U think ur so leet but all I see is shit, when I walk all over you, you'll have a fit. U look like u r confused and lost, here homie, take this and find a cause. Cuz u dun have one in WoE, and I'll make sure you will be rolled. I have mad ryhmes as u can see, and I'll always be on top when I pvp. get ur shit stright and start runnin, before u are on the ground cussin. PZ!"

Yea i wouldnt join an RO server for the game anymore, just for the community and friends..
But with most communities being crap....

Guild Wars is out of the question since thats no way near private xD
its a free game so i doubt there are any private servers for it.

Diablo 3 is a pretty good suggestion except i have no idea when it comes out and im guessing people will have to actualy buy the game to allow online gaming.
(Own and you can only play that game with 3 friends at a time..)

As for Lineage 2 is pretty nice, i hosted a server once for about a day =P
I know where to get the server files..
I think Lineage 2 is kind of massive though id rather have something smaller.

2Moons seems to draw my interest, mainly because it is created for adults (go them!)
and secondly it seems to look pretty awesome too for a free to play game =D
(i cant seem to register, the website just doesnt load for me when i enter my reg data... lame =/ )

Silkroad also seems to be nice

Lol i tryed SilkRoad a moment,
the game looks nice and all but either they have to many bots they cant take it or they are activly allowing them =/

all i saw in the 20 minutes i played was advertising bots and bots asking to team up with other bots =_=
