Its pretty ignorant that you are required to give it or you cant support, an email adress does not confirm your identity so all they need it for is to sell it on =/

Couldn't you make a fake email from 10 minute email or something?

Basically they make an email address that's only temporary. It's stays open for a while so that you can even confirm your email address if needs be. Then, you just forget it and it deletes itself.
